22 armed robbers target company

BOGOR: Some 22 people armed with guns and knives broke into farm breeding company PT Anwar Sierad in Pamegarsari, Parung subdistrict, Bogor, early on Tuesday and made off with approximately Rp 350 million in automobiles and cash.

The company's human resources manager, Ari, said on Tuesday the robbers gained entrance to building's compound by scaling a back wall.

After subduing two security guards and six employees, the robbers broke into a second floor room. They then fled with the firm's Suzuki Vitara jeep, Isuzu Panther minivan and a strongbox containing Rp 170 million.

The Parung Police are investigating the robbery. -- JP
