1,867 students graduate from UI

JAKARTA: In a ceremony held on Saturday, 1,867 undergraduate students and 662 others from non-degree programs graduated from the University of Indonesia (UI).

Rector Asman Boedisantoso R. said after the graduation in the university campus in Depok that UI had established a permanent fund with contributions from its alumni and the society, to help underprivileged students.

The university also receives contributions from the government social safety net fund, and with the cooperation of foreign embassies and 40 companies is able to provide scholarships for thousands of students. -- Antara
