15,058 people apply for jobs

DILI, East Timor: About 15,058 job seekers took the civil
service test conducted in 13 regencies.

Sebastio Dias Ximenes, chief of the human resources agency of
the provincial administration, said yesterday that the 15,058
people, included 13,126 high school graduates, 1,402 university
graduates and 530 under-graduates, were competing for 2,000
positions.

He told Antara news agency that the provincial administration
has positions for only 1,500 high school graduates and 500
university graduates this year.

According to Sebastio, local people will get priority. He said
that only 15 percent of the positions are allocated to those
coming from other provinces. (05)
