13 men face jail terms over Poso attacks

POSO: Prosecutors on Thursday demanded jail terms of four to eight years for 13 men charged with killing 10 people in last year's attacks on Christian villages in the troubled town of Poso, Central Sulawesi. The defendants were believed to have been responsible for the October 2003 attacks on Betheleme village, prosecutor Hartana told the Palu District Court. He asked the court to jail four of the men for eight years and to issue separate prison terms of four to six years for the other nine --Antara.
