13 'Jakarta News FM' staff resign
JAKARTA: Thirteen editorial staff members of the Jakarta News FM radio station submitted their resignation on Monday, which was effective June 1, due to "excessive interference from the owner with the radio's editorial board".
"We resigned because we couldn't tolerate the owner's intervention with the management any longer," said Ratna Sarumpaet, who is one of the 13 who resigned.
Ratna said the management had also failed in its performance as a solid administration and handling various internal problems in the company.
Other resigning staff members include Ahmad Taufik, Hardy R. Hermawan, Adnan Balfas, Michael Chandra, Wiratmadinata, Desi Anwar, Sammuel Wattimena, Indra J. Piliang, Marto Art, Tri Agus SS, Ma'ruf Samudra and Setio Hermanto.
"We haven't decided what to do next as we're still trying to cool ourselves down from the dispute," said Ratna. -- JP
