10 more justice candidates screened

JAKARTA: The House of Representatives screened on Wednesday 10 more candidates for the Supreme Court.

The candidates were identified as I Made Tara, Imam Soebechi, Kardjan, Lay Minggus, Marina Sidabutar, Moegiharjo, Muhammad Dalail, Monang Siringo Ringo, Muhammad Taufik and Baedhuwie Haryosusanto.

Of 43 eligible, 26 have so far been screened by the House.

The screening is expected to be completed on Friday, after which legislators will select 14 candidates whose names will be submitted to President Megawati Soekarnoputri for approval. --JP
