10 C. Jakarta areas prone to floods

JAKARTA: Central Jakarta Public Order office has warned
residents in 10 areas of possible flooding.

The areas, which are situated in the lower part of the
municipality, are: Kebon Kacang, Pejompongan, Benhil, Karang
Anyar, South Mangga Dua, North Gunung Sahari, Serdang, Kebon
Sirih, Petamburan and Cempaka Putih.

The last four are the most vulnerable, office head Sulaiman
Bachtiar told the city administration's official news portal
Berita Jakarta on Saturday.

The municipality's Mental and Spiritual Development Office has
also conducted a three-day training for 50 youths on natural
disaster management. -- JP
