IMF, Argentina to continue talks
WASHINGTON: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Argentina agreed on Monday to continue technical talks after IMF Managing Director Rodrigo de Rato met with Argentine Economy Minister Roberto Lavagna.
"These initial discussions were fruitful and cordial," an IMF spokesman said after the talks.
"It was agreed that the next stage in the dialogue will be to hold additional technical-level meetings in Washington in the coming weeks."
Lavagna later met with U.S. Treasury Secretary John Snow. -- AFP
