        "content": "<p>Waste processing is carried out in a modern way with the help of\ntechnology, from sorting and processing organic and non-organic waste to\nconverting waste into alternative fuel or RDF (factory fuel).<\/p>\n<p>Banyuwangi (ANTARA) - Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan\nhanded over dozens of operational vehicles for the Balak Reduce Reuse\nRecycle Waste Processing Site (TPS3R) in Songgon District, Banyuwangi\nRegency, East Java, on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The operational vehicle grant for Balak TPS3R is assistance from the\nClean Rivers organisation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE),\nconsisting of 21 three-wheeled motorcycles, 12 pickups, two armroll\ntrucks and five armroll containers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBanyuwangi is one of the best regencies in waste management, which\nis why there is a lot of assistance for TPS3R in Banyuwangi, one of\nwhich is from the United Arab Emirates (UAE),\u201d said Minister Zulhas to\nreporters after symbolically handing over the assets to Banyuwangi\nDeputy Regent Mujiono at Balak TPS3R.<\/p>\n<p>The Banyuwangi Regency Government has made circular waste processing\none of its development priorities in an effort to achieve more\nenvironmentally friendly handling.<\/p>\n<p>The Balak Reduce Reuse Recycle Waste Processing Site (TPS3R) in\nSonggon District stands on 1.5 hectares of land with a waste processing\ncapacity of 84 tonnes per day.<\/p>\n<p>Waste processing is carried out in a modern way with the help of\ntechnology, from sorting and processing organic and non-organic waste to\nconverting waste into alternative fuel or RDF (factory fuel).<\/p>\n<p>Waste management at Balak TPS3R is designed to ensure household waste\ncan be handled effectively, from source to final processing.<\/p>\n<p>Waste management uses technology to minimise residue and prevent\nodours, and every day village waste collectors go around to collect\nresidents\u2019 waste.<\/p>\n<p>Balak TPS3R serves residents in 64 villages across 10 sub-districts.\nAll waste arriving at the TPS3R is sorted using a conveyor machine based\non organic and non-organic categories.<\/p>\n<p>Valuable non-organic waste such as plastic bottles\/cups and\npaper\/duplex is pressed and then sent to recycling plants or processing\nindustries.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the remainder of non-organic waste such as plastic\npackaging with no economic value is processed into environmentally\nfriendly alternative fuel.<\/p>\n<p>Organic waste is processed into compost using the windrow composting\nmethod, and leachate or water produced by organic waste is treated using\na wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) to prevent environmental\npollution.<\/p>",
