Zarina's dossier to be done soon<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Police promised yesterday to complete Ecstasy-
\ncase suspect Zarina's dossier by early next month.<\/p>\n
Head of the Jakarta crime investigation directorate, Col.
\nPaimin Aboeamr, said police wanted to try Zarina soon.<\/p>\n
\"We hope that the dossier of her case can be completed within
\ntwo weeks after she was again officially declared a suspect upon
\nher arrival from Houston on Sunday,\" Paimin said.<\/p>\n
Zarina was arrested in West Jakarta on Aug. 7 for possessing
\nof 29,677 Ecstasy pills but escaped a day later during a police
\nescort.<\/p>\n
She was re-arrested on Nov. 4 in Houston, the United States,
\nand brought to Jakarta two weeks later.<\/p>\n
Paimin said Zarina was willing to be interrogated by police
\ndetectives only yesterday morning.<\/p>\n
\"She said she was still suffering from jet lag so she couldn't
\nbe questioned during daytime here,\" Paimin said.<\/p>\n
Questioning started at 11 a.m. yesterday.<\/p>\n
\"There's no new or different statements from the suspect,\"
\nPaimin said. Zarina was very cooperative during the
\ninterrogation, he said.<\/p>\n
The interrogation, which will continue today, covered
\neverything about the Ecstasy pills police found in a safety box
\nin the house Zarina rented, he said.<\/p>\n
In a related development, Jakarta Metropolitan Police Chief
\nMaj. Gen. Hamami Nata said yesterday detectives had been assigned
\nto track people believed to have been involved in Zarina's escape
\nand the Ecstasy pills.<\/p>\n
\"We'll chase those involved in her case, whoever and whatever
\nthey are,\" Hamami said.<\/p>\n
Shortly after her arrival on Sunday, Zarina was charged with
\ndrug trafficking, immigration violations and bringing weapons in
\nfrom overseas without proper papers.<\/p>\n
She could not be charged for her escape because the existing
\nlaws did not yet mentioned such a violation, police said. (bsr)<\/p>",
