        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights,\nImmigration, and Correctional Services Yusril Ihza Mahendra submitted\nthe final report of the Commission for the Acceleration of Indonesian\nNational Police Reform to President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential\nPalace in Jakarta on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Yusril stated that he was personally invited by President Prabowo to\nreport on the commission\u2019s work, which had been carrying out its duties\nfor several months and completed its mandate about two months ago.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the compiled report varies in thickness, from\nthousands of pages to short summaries to make it easy for the President\nto understand.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is a 3,000-page report, a 300-page one, and some that are only\nthree pages. So, it can be read by the President in a concise manner so\nthat he can understand it well,\u201d Yusril said.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the report contains various proposals and\nrecommendations from the Commission for the Acceleration of Indonesian\nNational Police Reform regarding improvements to the police\ninstitution.<\/p>\n<p>Next, the government will await the President\u2019s instructions after\nstudying the entire report that has been submitted.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the priority recommendations submitted, Yusril said that\nthe detailed presentation will be carried out directly by the Chairman\nof the Commission for the Acceleration of Indonesian National Police\nReform, Jimly Asshiddiqie, after the report is officially received by\nthe President.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have agreed not to announce it to the public before the report is\nhanded directly to the President\u2019s hands,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Yusril emphasised that the recommendations submitted are substantive\nand have the potential to bring significant changes to the police\ninstitutional system.
