        "content": "<p>Yusril denies blocking graft probe<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: State Secretary Yusril Ihza Mahendra dismissed on<br>\nThursday allegations that he had intervened in an investigation<br>\ninto widespread corruption at the State Secretariat.<\/p>\n<p>\"I only ask for a delay to the probe into the alleged misuse<br>\nof funds for the recent Asia-Africa Summit until next week,<br>\npending completion of an audit,\" Yusril said.<\/p>\n<p>The Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) has suspended the audit because<br>\nall documents, including receipts of the summit spending, had<br>\nbeen sent to the interdepartmental anticorruption team, which is<br>\nnow investigating the case.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the team, Hendarman Supandji, said on Wednesday Yusril<br>\nhad written to his office asking for a suspension of the<br>\ninvestigation pending the audit from BPK. -- JP<\/p>",
