Youth Forum's role<\/p>\n
From Merdeka<\/p>\n
As a social youth organization, Youth Forum has to play a
\nmoral role in national development. That moral obligation should
\nbe reflected in everyday activities. In this way, older folks
\nmust not be suspicious of the Youth Forum and should give them an
\nopportunity to do anything worthwhile.<\/p>\n
The reality is that they are doing what they are told to, with
\nthe least bit of seriousness and there is an impression that they
\nonly aim for modest results.<\/p>\n
The Youth Forum should not be that simple. They are expected
\nto acquire a leadership quality, and to stand on their own feet.<\/p>\n
Society also deplores the youth's lack of openness in their
\ninteraction with other establishments. The public knows little
\nabout the Youth Forum's activities. Their leaders seem to aspire
\nto positions in the power circle.<\/p>\n
It is now up to the leaders and the government to consider the
\nrole the Youth Forum has to play.<\/p>\n
