Responding to Mr. Andrew Ashmore's letter (The Jakarta Post,
\nSept. 7, 1995) I have the following to say.<\/p>\n
* Like it or not, my opinions are right, unless somebody can
\nprove otherwise.<\/p>\n
* I'd never said that soccer matches don't need the match
\natmosphere. I assert that being in Indonesia it would be more
\n\"logical\" to broadcast programs directed to Indonesian people, in
\nthe Indonesian language.<\/p>\n
* In a nutshell, might I give you two useful suggestions? When
\nopening the Post's \"Your Letters\" column, check the letter's tail
\nfirst, not the head. Should you read my name, \"jump\" straight to
\nthe next one.<\/p>\n
With reference to Mr. Graeme St. John's letter (Sept. 6,
\n1995), I would like to say that very often computers are more
\nintelligent than their operators. Mr. St. John's computer might
\nnot tolerate somebody eating succulent dishes of osso buco
\n(\"bucco\" doesn't exist) near its keyboard. Better get ourselves
\nout of them, also if we are eating Pasta Pronto (a further non-
\nexistent name).<\/p>\n
Personally, I avoid it; it could be that, instead of having
\nthe dominant \"P\" (Peter Pan, Peter Piper, Peter Rabbit etc.), the
\nporcelain flushes to the letter \"J\" (as Jabberer, Jackass,
\nJuggler and so on).<\/p>\n
