Young survivor reunites with parents<\/p>\n
Hundreds of people took part on
\nWednesday in a mass burial for unidentified victims of an
\nIndonesian jetliner crash that killed 149 people, some weeping
\nuncontrollably as they watched soldiers and police lower the
\nwooden coffins into a grave.<\/p>\n
But on the other side of town, one mother and father were
\nquietly celebrating: their five-year-old son, who had been given
\nup for dead, was found alive in a hospital (photo). The boy,
\nPento Panjaitan, who was traveling with his father Togar, was
\ninjured when the plane crashed moments after taking off from
\nPolonia Airport on Monday. He became separated but was reunited
\nwith his parents 13 hours after the accident.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, investigators were sifting through the charred
\nwreckage of the Mandala Airlines plane, trying to determine why
\nit crashed onto a crowded street in the city of Medan, creating a
\npath of destruction as it plowed into houses, cars and
\npedestrians.<\/p>\n
Setyo Rahardjo, head of the National Transportation Safety
\nCommittee, said a preliminary report indicated there may have
\nbeen a problem with one of the engine's turbine blades.<\/p>\n
