        "content": "<p>Yorris slams poll delay<\/p>\n<p>MANOKWARI, West Irian Jaya: Yorris Raweyai, a candidate in the <br>\nWest Irian Jaya gubernatorial election, has demanded that the <br>\ncentral government replace all members of West Irian Jaya General <br>\nElections Commission due to the postponement of the election.<\/p>\n<p>\"The committee members are unprofessional,\" said Yorris, a <br>\ncandidate from the Golkar Party.<\/p>\n<p>He was responding to the decision by the Ministry of Home <br>\nAffairs to delay the election, initially set for July 28, because <br>\nthe local elections office considered preparations for the poll <br>\nto be insufficient.<\/p>\n<p>The decision was conveyed to the election commission on July <br>\n27, a day before the election was scheduled to take place.<\/p>\n<p>In contrast, Rev. Hofni Siambiak supported the delay.<\/p>\n<p>\"Thank God it has been delayed.
