    Indonesia\u2019s National Zakat Agency (Baznas) has deployed its Disaster\nResponse team to carry out various measures to tackle forest and land\nfires in several parts of Indonesia, particularly Kalimantan.<\/p>\n

    Idy Muzayyad, a member of Baznas\u2019 leadership responsible for\ndistribution, utilisation and empowerment, said the efforts include\nextinguishing fires and distributing humanitarian assistance to affected\nresidents, officers and volunteers.<\/p>\n

      The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said 15\naircraft had been deployed for weather-modification operations in\nCentral Kalimantan, South Kalimantan and South Sumatra to help tackle\nforest and land fires.<\/p>\n
