'Yanomamo' show at Pattimura<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): The Jakarta International School's Pattimura
\nElementary School is presenting the musical Yanomamo today at the
\nPattimura Courtyard in conjunction with the Pattimura's annual
\nArts Festival.<\/p>\n
The Yanomamo is the largest Amerindian tribe living in the
\nAmazon rain forest. Yanomamo was written in 1988 by the World
\nWildlife Fund for Nature to promote awareness among children and
\ntheir families about the Amazon rain forest and the Amerindians.<\/p>\n
The performances, at 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., will involve all
\nthe school's students.<\/p>\n
All the costumes and decorations have been made during art
\nclasses. The souvenir booklet that contains the program and the
\nlyrics of the songs are decorated by fifth grade students'
\nartwork. Jin Joo Kim, a fourth grade student, has designed a
\nYanomamo T-shirt that features the Pattimura tree.<\/p>\n
Each grade level of the Pattimura Elementary School will
\ncontribute a special part. The narration will be provided by the
