        "content": "<p>Wynne out for revenge against Fuda<\/p>\n<p>The Jakarta Post, Jakarta<\/p>\n<p>Local hopeful Wynne Prakusya will have the chance to get her<br>\nown back against top seeded Ryoko Fuda of Japan on Friday in the<br>\nUS$25,000 Jakarta ITF Women's Open.<\/p>\n<p>The fifth seed, one of three local players into the last<br>\neight, defeated Taiwan's Hwang I-Hsuan 6-4, 6-4 in the hard court<br>\ntournament at Hilton Hotel, Central Jakarta, on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The 24 year old from Surakarta will play Fuda, currently 175th<br>\nin the world, in Friday's quarterfinals. The 19-year-old from<br>\nKobe fought off a strong challenge from Thai Wilawan Choptang in<br>\nthe first set to come through 7-6 (5), 6-1.<\/p>\n<p>\"I want to avenge my loss to her in the Thailand Open in<br>\nOctober,\" Wynne, whose ranking rose to 277 from 290 on Monday,<br>\nsaid of her 7-6 (3), 6-2 loss to Fuda in qualifying in Bangkok.<\/p>\n<p>Both women have enjoyed strong years. Wynne, who has become<br>\nthe country's number one in the extended absence of Angelique<br>\nWidjaja due to injury, won ITF challengers in Tarakan, Ho Chi<br>\nMinh City and St. Joseph, Missouri, as well as spearheading the<br>\nnational team's defeat of Puerto Rico in the Fed Cup.<\/p>\n<p>Wynne was joined in the quarterfinals by Fed Cup teammate Ayu<br>\nFani Damayanti, who upset second seed Chan Yung-Jan of Chinese<br>\nTaipei 6-2, 6-1.<\/p>\n<p>Chan, ranked 210, did not put up much of a fight against<br>\nteenager Ayu, ranked 484th in the most recent WTA rankings, after<br>\nsuffering from a fever for several days, Antara news service<br>\nreported.<\/p>\n<p>Ayu, who turns 17 on Nov. 29, plays Chan's seventh seeded<br>\ncompatriot Chuang Chia Jung, a 6-4, 6-4 winner over Japan's Remi<br>\nTezuka.<\/p>\n<p>Local wildcard Lavinia Tananta, who scored a huge upset on<br>\nWednesday with her defeat of Austrian third seed Tina Schiechtl,<br>\nranked 930 spots higher than her, continued her winning ways on<br>\nThursday.<\/p>\n<p>Lavinia, who turned 18 on Nov. 3, beat compatriot Patricia<br>\nSoesilo 6-2, 6-2.
