World Bank prepares reconstruction program for quake victims Yogyakarta<\/p>\n
Yogyakarta (ANTARA News) - The World Bank will prepare US$50-60 million for funding the reconstruction program for the quake victims in Yogyakarta and Central Java.

\nThe money is meant to help the reconstruction program, Director of the World Bank office in Indonesia, Andrew Steer said after meeting Yogyakarta Governor Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X here on Monday.
\n
\nSteer said his meeting with the Yogyakarta Governor was aimed at coordinating the implementation of the reconstruction program for houses and buildings damaged by the 5.9 strong earthquake which struck the two provinces on May 27.<\/p>\n
He also expressed his deep sorrow and offered condolences to the bereaved families of at least 5,000 people who died in the disaster.

\nOn the same day, the Yogyakarta Governor also received Kuwaiti Ambassador to Indonesia Mohammad Fadel Khalaf.

\nKhalaf said they discussed his government`s planned assistance for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the two quake rattled provinces.
\n
\nThe Kuwaiti government, he said, had sent logistic assistance, including food, tents, blankets, tents, medicines and paramedics to the Bantul and Klaten districts for two weeks following the quake.<\/p>\n
On the reconstruction plan, he said, his country wished to participate in the implementation of the program, and is now still setting the amount of the fund that would be sent to the provinces pending coordination from the Yogyakarta province.

\nThe Sultan, however, said his province would rebuild damaged houses and school buildings and rehabilitate children from their traumatic experience caused by the killer quake.
