Workshop on clean fuel<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesian and British governments held a
\njoint workshop here on Tuesday to promote the use of clean fuel
\nin the country.<\/p>\n
The workshop, which was organized by the Indonesian-British
\nOil and Gas Working Group, was jointly opened by the director
\ngeneral of oil and gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral
\nResources, Rachmat Sudibyo, British Ambassador to Indonesia
\nRichard Gozney and Indonesian Ambassador to Britain Nana
\nSutresna.<\/p>\n
The working group was established last year by the Indonesian
\nand British governments to promote bilateral ties in oil and gas
\ninvestment, technology and trade.<\/p>\n
Rachmat Sudibyo said Indonesia was committed to promoting the
\nuse of clean fuel in line with the national Blue Sky campaign to
\nreduce air pollution.<\/p>\n
Through the program, which was launched in 1996, the
\ngovernment hopes to reduce air pollution by cutting the use of
\nleaded gasoline.<\/p>\n
He said the workshop provided opportunities for Indonesia to
\nlearn from other countries in promoting the use of clean fuel.<\/p>\n
The workshop featured a representative of British firm Foster
\nWheeler Energy Ltd., according to Antara news agency. (03)<\/p>",
