        "content": "<p>Workshop on<br>\nmentally disabled<\/p>\n<p>BOGOR, West Java: The Ministry of Education and Culture is<br>\nseeking ways to educate slightly intellectually-disabled children<br>\nfollowing treatment which has been given to those who are blind<br>\nand deaf.<\/p>\n<p>While opening a workshop on teaching students with slight<br>\nintellectual disabilities here yesterday, minister Wardiman<br>\nDjojonegoro said the group deserves special attention because the<br>\n1989 education law stipulates that every citizen, including those<br>\nwith physical and\/or mental disabilities, has an equal right to<br>\nobtain education.<\/p>\n<p>The minister then noted that in the process of improving the<br>\neducational system, his ministry has been able to establish some<br>\n37,000 centers of special treatment for disabled students.<\/p>\n<p>\"Lately we have made significant progress on education for<br>\ndisabled students. To give you an example, you might have noticed<br>\nthat the news on television is now accessible for the deaf,\"<br>\nWardiman said. (11)<\/p>",
