        "content": "<p>Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Gibran Rakabuming Raka,\ninspected the MRT Phase 2A project site from Harmoni to Sawah Besar in\nJakarta on Tuesday (12\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>CNBC Indonesia\u2019s observations at the location showed Gibran\nconducting the inspection while wearing full personal protective\nequipment (PPE), from a helmet to a neon green vest with the MRT\nlogo.<\/p>\n<p>Gibran carried out this inspection together with Jakarta Governor\nPramono Anung, Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi, and MRT Jakarta\nPresident Director Tuhiyat.<\/p>\n<p>During the inspection, Gibran walked with Pramono and Dudy from CP202\nSawah Besar Station to CP202 Harmoni Station.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the inspection, the three also exchanged brief\nconversations at the location.<\/p>\n<p>On this occasion, Vice President Gibran praised Jakarta Governor\nPramono Anung\u2019s policies on public transport management.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you, Governor, for your commitment to the development of MRT\nand LRT,\u201d said Gibran, Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>Gibran also stressed that providing safe, comfortable, and integrated\npublic transport is one of the main priorities in President Prabowo\nSubianto\u2019s administration.<\/p>\n<p>He believes that good quality facilities will encourage public\ninterest in switching from private vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>For information, this project will connect Bundaran HI Station, which\nis part of Jakarta MRT Phase 1 (Lebak Bulus-Bundaran HI), with Kota\nStation.<\/p>\n<p>PT MRT Jakarta targets the first segment from Bundaran HI to Monas to\nbe completed and operational by the end of 2027, while the subsequent\nsegment to Kota is targeted for completion in 2029.<\/p>\n<p>Jakarta MRT Phase 2A will connect Bundaran HI to Kota over\napproximately 5.8 kilometres with seven underground stations: Thamrin,\nMonas, Harmoni, Sawah Besar, Mangga Besar, Glodok, and Kota.<\/p>",
