Work begins on Cikunir-Tanjung Priok toll road<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Minister of Public Works Radinal Moochtar drove
\nthe first pillar for the construction of the turnpike linking
\nCikunir in Bekasi, East Java, and Tanjung Priok in North Jakarta
\non Saturday.<\/p>\n
The 19.2-kilometer Cikunir-Tanjung Priok road is part of the
\n60-km Jakarta outer ring toll road.<\/p>\n
PT Citra Bhakti Margatama Persada is charge of the
\nconstruction of the Cikunir-Tanjung Priok toll road.<\/p>\n
The consortium consists of PT Jasa Marga, the state-owned
\nhighway corporation, PT Citra Lamtoro Gung Persada, PT Tridan
\nSatriaputra Indonesia, PT Baskara Duniajaya and Tiara Indah
\nfoundation.<\/p>\n
Siti Hardiyanti Rukmana, the consortium's president, also the
\neldest daughter of President Soeharto, said on Saturday that the
\nRp 600 billion project is expected to be completed in four years.<\/p>\n
She said that land appropriation for the project was not yet
\ncompleted. \"We expect to have the land appropriation completed
\nnext year. Land appropriation will not be a problem to us because
\nwe offer compensation based on the market price of the land.\"
\nShe declined to reveal how much land owners will receive per
\nsquare meter of land.<\/p>\n
The new toll road, with two junctions, five interchanges, 12
\nbridges, eight on and off ramps and 47 toll gates, is designed to
\nbe 28 meters in width.<\/p>\n
The Cikunir-Tanjung Priok toll road is expected to facilitate
\ntransportation of people and goods to and from the Tanjung Priok
\nharbor, Mrs. Rukmana said.(29)<\/p>",
