The Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) has\nexpressed appreciation for the expanded benefits of the Social and\nEnvironmental Responsibility (TJSL) programme through three initiatives\nin the fields of social inclusion, education, and economic\nempowerment.<\/p>\n
Pelindo\u2019s three programmes include the distribution of assistive\ndevices for persons with disabilities, the deployment of \u2018Port Captain\nInspirasi 2026\u2019 volunteers to frontier, outermost, and least developed\n(3T) regions, and the provision of business facilities for MSME\nentrepreneurs.<\/p>\n
Women\u2019s involvement is evident in the implementation of these\nprogrammes. Out of the 20 Port Captain Inspirasi 2captains 2026\nvolunteers being deployed to Banda Aceh, Garut, Sumbawa, and Ambon, 16\nare women. Furthermore, of the 53 MSME entrepreneurs receiving business\nfacility assistance, 41 are women. Pelindo also distributed assistive\ndevices to 25 persons with disabilities, eight of whom are women.<\/p>\n
The Deputy for Gender Equality at the Ministry of PPPA, Amurwani Dwi\nLestariningsih, praised the involvement of women in the TJSL programme.\nAccording to her, opening access and opportunities for women is a vital\npart of encouraging them to become more independent while contributing\nto their families and society.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe appreciate the provision of space for women to be involved and\nbenefit from various empowerment programmes. When women gain access and\nopportunities to grow, the benefits are felt not only by themselves but\nalso by their families and the surrounding environment,\u201d Amurwani stated\nin a written statement on Tuesday, 8 September 2026.<\/p>\n
Pelindo\u2019s Corporate Secretary, Benny Ariyadi, stated that while the\nthree programmes have different targets, they share the same spirit:\nexpanding access and providing opportunities for the community to become\nmore self-reliant.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur TJSL programmes are designed to address community needs\nconcretely. There are persons with disabilities who require support to\nincrease mobility, communities in 3T regions who need access to\neducation and health, and MSME entrepreneurs who need facilities to\ndevelop their businesses. Ultimately, it all culminates in how we open\naccess and opportunities so that the community becomes more empowered,\u201d\nhe said.<\/p>\n
According to Benny, the significant involvement of women in the MSME\nand Port Captain Inspirasi programmes demonstrates that women play a\nstrong role, both as beneficiaries and as drivers of change.<\/p>\n
