Woman's death still a mystery<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Investigators are awaiting autopsy results of
\nDesi Susanti, who died shortly after she was taken to Cipto
\nMangukusumo General Hospital by military police officers on
\nWednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Her body was transported by plane to her hometown in
\nPekanbaru, Riau, for burial.<\/p>\n
A relative said Desi, 21, had family members in Jakarta, but
\nshe preferred to stay at a her boardinghouse on Jl. Lauzer.<\/p>\n
\"I don't know personal details about her,\" the relative said
\nat the hospital's morgue on Thursday.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, a hospital official said there was a foamy
\ndischarge from the woman's mouth when she died.<\/p>\n
Jakarta Military Police Commander Col. Mungkono Mursidi said
\nhe was waiting for postmortem findings.<\/p>\n
\"We also have asked assistance from the Central Jakarta
\nPolice's crime laboratory to examine liquids ingested by the
\nvictim,\" he told The Jakarta Post late Thursday.<\/p>\n
According to Mungkono, Desi tried on Wednesday to meet Sgt.
\nSiswanto, a military police officer who was formerly assigned to
\na military police battalion headquarters on Jl. Kebon Sirih,
\nCentral Jakarta.<\/p>\n
A security guard left her in the battalion's waiting room
\nwhile he looked for Siswanto.<\/p>\n
He was unable to locate Siswanto and returned to find Desi
\ncollapsed on the waiting room floor. Next to her body was a
\nplastic pack containing an unidentified liquid.<\/p>\n
He asked two colleagues to help him take the critically ill
\nwoman to the hospital. Hospital officials said the men initially
\nrefused to sign registration forms for the woman's admittance and
\nleft the hospital without notification. Two of the men later
\nreturned and complied with hospital procedures.<\/p>\n
\"We will soon identify Siswanto and where he is assigned now,\"
\nsaid Mungkono.<\/p>\n
