Woman robbed in Blue Bird taxi<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: An employee of Metro TV private television station,
\nYulianti, was robbed in a Blue Bird taxi heading to her House on
\nJl. Casablanca, South Jakarta.<\/p>\n
Qoiry Ahmadi, an editor of law and criminal news at the
\ntelevision station, said that the incident happened on Friday
\nnight after she finished shopping at a supermarket on Jl. Barito,
\nSouth Jakarta and hailed a Blue Bird taxi.<\/p>\n
It is the second recent robbery of Blue Bird customers. About
\ntwo weeks ago another woman was kidnapped and robbed. Blue Bird
\nhas denied that the robbery was conducted by any of its drivers.<\/p>\n
Yulianti, an employee at the human resources development
\nsection, was dumped near a rice field in Cipondoh subdistrict,
\nTangerang, Banten province, or some 30 kilometer from the super
\nmarket she was abducted from. She was helped by locals.<\/p>\n
The victim said she knew she would be robbed after two men
\nsuddenly appeared in the back seat of the taxi.<\/p>\n
The goods and money taken by the robber was worth Rp 15
\nmillion, which included Rp 2 million cash, jewelry, a cellular
\nphone, a bag and her shoes.--JP<\/p>",
