        "content": "<p>A woman was allegedly subjected to sexual harassment while boarding\nKRL Commuter Line train number 1530 on the Jakarta Kota\u2013Nambo route from\nTebet Station on Saturday, 14 March 2026 at approximately 21.01 Western\nIndonesia Time.<\/p>\n<p>The incident was posted and went viral on Instagram account <span class=\"citation\" data-cites=\"jabodetabek24info\">@jabodetabek24info<\/span>. According to\nthe post, the harassment occurred whilst the train was in the vicinity\nof Pancasila University Station and approaching the University of\nIndonesia Station.<\/p>\n<p>The post also identified the alleged perpetrator as a lecturer at one\nof the campuses in South Tangerang. The incident was subsequently\nreported and handled by Metro Depok Police.<\/p>\n<p>According to investigations, the victim boarded at Tebet Station,\nwhilst the alleged perpetrator boarded at Tanjung Barat Station. Both\nwere aboard KRL Commuter Line number 1530 on the Jakarta Kota\u2013Nambo\nroute.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe perpetrator was removed at the University of Indonesia Station\nby on-train staff following a report and assistance from other\npassengers,\u201d said Leza on Sunday, 15 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>KAI Commuter provided psychological support to the victim and\nassisted with the reporting process to Metro Depok Police for legal\nproceedings. As a preventive measure, KAI Commuter entered the alleged\nperpetrator\u2019s face into their CCTV analytics database to enable\ndetection by surveillance systems at stations and on board KRL\ntrains.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKAI Commuter urges all passengers to be mindful of their\nsurroundings when using KRL, to speak up and report any form of sexual\nviolence,\u201d Leza added.<\/p>\n<p>Metro Depok Police Chief of Public Relations AKP Made Budi confirmed\nreceipt of the sexual harassment report. \u201cThere was a report, but it has\nbeen settled,\u201d Made stated on Sunday.<\/p>",
