        "content": "<p>Woman killed in passenger panic<\/p>\n<p>JAYAPURA, Irian Jaya: A women was trampled to death as<br>\npassengers panicked trying to disembark from the KM Umsini<br>\npassenger liner when its galley caught fire.<\/p>\n<p>The ship had just docked at Sorong harbor on Wednesday<br>\nafternoon from Ambon, Maluku, and passengers were quietly making<br>\ntheir way down the gangway when a burst of flames and smoke<br>\nbillowed from the galley.<\/p>\n<p>Ship security was able to put out the fire, however, they<br>\nlater discovered that a young woman -- Fitryanti from Surabaya,<br>\nEast Java -- had been caught under the ensuing stampede and died<br>\nas thousands of passengers tried to flee.<\/p>\n<p>Antara reported on Thursday that police are still<br>\ninvestigating the cause of the fire, however they suspect it may<br>\nhave been caused by an electrical short circuit.<\/p>",
