        "content": "<p>A video circulating on social media appears to show a woman becoming\na victim of sexual harassment on the Jakarta Kota-Nambo KRL commuter\ntrain line. The perpetrator was subsequently apprehended by station\nsecurity officers.<\/p>\n<p>In the video, viewed on Wednesday (30\/09\/2026), the victim is seen\nsitting in a passenger seat, crying in fear and trembling. Other\npassengers on the train confronted and verbally abused the suspected\nperpetrator.<\/p>\n<p>Leza Arlan, Public Relations Manager of KAI Commuter, stated that the\nincident occurred on Monday (28\/09). Security officers initially\nreceived reports from passengers regarding the incident.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFollowing up on the report, train security officers (pam walka)\nalong with station security personnel immediately secured the suspect,\u201d\nsaid Leza.<\/p>\n<p>Subsequently, both the perpetrator and the victim were taken to the\nsecurity post at Lenteng Agung Station. Following an investigation, the\nperpetrator admitted to his actions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will not tolerate criminal acts, including sexual violence, on\nthe Commuter Line or at our stations,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>KAI Commuter expressed appreciation for the passengers who assisted\nand stood up against the case of sexual harassment. In the circulating\nvideo, a female passenger is seen confronting the perpetrator, while\nmale passengers also expressed their anger by physically striking the\nsuspect.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKAI Commuter conveys its gratitude to other users who care for\nfellow passengers who become victims and immediately report the\nperpetrator\u2019s actions to the officers,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<p>The company has also placed the perpetrator on a passenger blacklist.\nThis measure was taken to prevent similar incidents from recurring.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKAI Commuter also guarantees the safety of Commuter Line users.
