Wolfowitz' statement<\/p>\n
It is hard to distinguish whether the U.S. Deputy Secretary of
\nDefense Paul D. Wolfowitz' statement is a warning sign for the
\nIndonesian government or part of the big scenario of the U.S.<\/p>\n
As for the Poso case, Wolfowitz has expressed his concern that
\nthe Indonesian Military has been lacking in efforts to protect
\nthe locals, or to create a stable condition to suppress
\nterrorism.<\/p>\n
The Poso and Maluku conflicts cannot suggest involvement of
\nthe al-Qaeda network. Wolfowitz should know that it is the attack
\non Muslims that has triggered the conflicts in Poso and Maluku.<\/p>\n
The U.S argument to place Indonesia as its target to fight
\nterrorism is illogical -- unless the terrorism issue is used as a
\npolitical tool by the U.S. to overpower countries where Muslims
\nmake up the majority of the population, in the interests of
\nAmerica's long term politics and ideology.<\/p>\n
It is not impossible that this agenda would further lead the
\ncivilized world to suffer great conflicts. It is the
\nresponsibility of all religions, ideologies and nations,
\nparticularly the U.S. as a big country, to make the world stable,
\npluralist and free from suspicion. That's the job of civilized
\npeople.<\/p>\n
