The owners of WO Marwah, a married couple identified as ER\nand RMS, were arrested by the East Jakarta Metropolitan Police Criminal\nInvestigation Unit after moving between locations. The arrest marks a\nnew chapter in a case involving dozens of engaged couples and resulting\nin billions of rupiah in losses. Police are not only investigating the\nscam\u2019s modus operandi but also tracing the flow of victims\u2019 funds, which\nare suspected to have been used to cover operational business expenses.\nThey were apprehended on Saturday, 30 May 2026, at a rental house in\nBatulayang Village, Cililin District, West Bandung Regency, West Java.\nEast Jakarta Metropolitan Police Public Relations Officer Aipda I Gusti\nMP stated that the suspects offered no resistance during the arrest.\n\u2018During the arrest, the suspects did not resist, ensuring the security\nprocess proceeded safely and smoothly,\u2019 Gusti said. Police are still\ninvestigating whether ER and RMS\u2019s relocation was part of an escape\nattempt. Investigators have found that the suspects were no longer at\ntheir usual address and moved locations multiple times before being\napprehended. \u2018Whether the suspects intended to flee is still under\ninvestigation. However, during the search, the suspects were found not\nat their usual address and had moved multiple times before being secured\nin West Bandung Regency,\u2019 Gusti added. One victim, Aldy (32), reported\nthat the couple began disappearing from 22 May 2026. \u2018For yesterday\u2019s\nmeeting, the news was they were arrested in Bandung. Basically, they\nwent missing from 22 May, a Friday,\u2019 Aldy told Kompas.com. According to\nvictims present at the meeting with WO Marwah at East Jakarta\nMetropolitan Police headquarters, ER and RMS admitted the funds were\nused to cover operational costs amid financial difficulties.<\/p>",
