Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - PT Pos Indonesia has admitted it remains\nheavily reliant on government projects to support its financial\nperformance.<\/p>\n
President Director of PT Pos Indonesia, Daud Joseph, stated that\nthroughout 2025, the company recorded operating revenue of Rp3.9\ntrillion, a 20% drop compared to the Rp5 trillion achieved in 2024.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom the year\u2019s target of Rp6.2 trillion, only about 63% was\nachieved. Consequently, the gross profit target of Rp2.4 trillion was\nnot met, reaching only Rp1.5 trillion,\u201d Daud said during a hearing with\nCommission VI of the House of Representatives in Jakarta on Monday\n(22\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n
As a result, EBITDA or net income fell far short of the Rp800 billion\ntarget, reaching only Rp300 billion.<\/p>\n
The most significant decline occurred in the logistics business\nportfolio, which dropped from Rp2 trillion in the previous year to just\nRp600 billion.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe see this is because there are no more food distribution\nprogrammes, rice distribution programmes, and so on. However, courier\nlogistics services or logistics for items under 30 kilogrammes have\nremained steady at Rp1.8 trillion,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, financial services such as pensions, credit, and bill\npayment transfers have also held steady at Rp1.2 trillion. Property\nservices, although showing an increase compared to the previous year,\nstill contributed only a small portion.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese reports are based on unaudited financial statements, which are\ncurrently still in the audit process. We will submit the audited reports\nonce they are completed,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n
Joseph explained that over the past five years, the company\u2019s\nfinancial performance had been in the black, buoyed by government\nprojects. In 2020, PT Pos Indonesia generated revenue of Rp5.4 trillion.\nFrom 2020 to 2025, the company\u2019s revenue continued to rise alongside the\nincreasing contribution of government projects.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe contribution from government project assistance, whether social\nassistance, rice aid, or food aid distributed to the public, supported\nand boosted Pos Indonesia\u2019s revenue,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, Joseph revealed that the company has also lost its\ngrip on core service niches, including logistics, financial services,\ncourier services, and even property services.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is evident as in 2025, when government project assistance\ndropped to Rp300 billion, total revenue immediately plunged to just\nRp3.9 trillion,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
