        "content": "<p>Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has ordered the resumption of weather\nmodification operations (OMC) in Jakarta tomorrow. Pramono said there is\npotential cloud cover that could be utilised for the OMC.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf there are no clouds, it is impossible to carry out OMC. In\nconducting OMC, for example this coming Friday, there will be clouds\nagain. I have ordered that for Friday, because there are clouds,\npreparations should be made immediately for a flight tomorrow,\u201d Pramono\nsaid in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta, on Thursday\n(20\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Pramono said the implementation of OMC does not guarantee that rain\nwill definitely fall after seeding is carried out. He noted that the\nJakarta Provincial Government has previously conducted several flights\nfor OMC, but they have not always produced rain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow, if it is flown, whether rain occurs or not is not a guarantee.\nWe have flown many times and there was no rain,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, Pramono believes the effort still needs to be made when\nweather conditions permit. He said OMC is one of the endeavours to\noptimise rain potential.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat rain is God\u2019s creation, I certainly agree it is God\u2019s creation.\nBut if there is no effort made towards it, I think that is also not\ngood,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>Pramono said that, based on weather forecasts, there is potential for\ndrizzle tomorrow. He therefore hopes the OMC can help increase rainfall\nintensity without causing flooding.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe weather forecast also predicts there will be drizzle. It would\nbe better if the drizzle is enhanced with salt or whatever it may be, so\nthat it becomes heavier rain that benefits the community. The most\nimportant thing is that it does not cause flooding, that is all,\u201d he\nadded.<\/p>",
