Wireless collaboration technology has now moved beyond its basic\nfunction as a replacement for presentation cables. The latest\ntransformation demonstrates the ability of this technology to connect\nvarious devices, content, and users simultaneously, including\nintegration with Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality (AR)\nglasses, and even drones.<\/p>\n
This vision of the future was presented by ASTROS, a wireless\ncollaboration technology brand by Taiwan-based Astrogate Inc., during\n\u2018The Future of Wireless Collaboration\u2019 event in Jakarta on Monday\n(14\/9\/2026). In partnership with local partner PT Surya Candra, ASTROS\nofficially introduced the AS-301 series wireless docking station while\ndemonstrating various AI-based applications.<\/p>\n
CEO of PT Surya Candra, Budi Suryo, emphasised that the presence of\nthis technology is not merely for the aesthetics of a cable-free\nworkspace. \u201cAs a software-based company, what we want to do is make\nmeetings smarter,\u201d said Budi.<\/p>\n
According to him, wireless technology simplifies the meeting process\nby connecting devices without technical hurdles such as searching for\ndongles or repeatedly plugging in cables. The AS-301 device is\nspecifically designed for medium to large-scale meeting rooms. One of\nits key advantages is the ability to support multiple cameras and\ndisplay up to four content sources simultaneously on a single\nscreen.<\/p>\n
Despite offering convenience, technical challenges such as latency or\ntransmission delays remain a concern. Budi guaranteed that ASTROS\ntechnology has been designed to ensure the content sharing process is\nfast and smooth without significant lag. The development of ASTROS is\nnow expanding into broader sectors. In the Jakarta demonstration, this\ntechnology proved capable of transmitting the viewpoint of AR smart\nglasses users to a large screen in real-time. This innovation opens\nsignificant opportunities for technical training methods and remote\nvisual instruction.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, integration with drones allows video captured from the\nair to be sent directly to classrooms or training centres. This enables\nparticipants to view field situations from a drone\u2019s perspective without\nneeding to be at the physical location.<\/p>\n
