Wimar to host new talk show<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Local TV viewers can now watch a new talk show
\nhosted by Wimar Witoelar on Indosiar private television station.<\/p>\n
The 30-minute show Selayang Pandang, a combination of chat and
\nmusic, will have the high-profile Coordinating Minister for
\nPeople's Welfare Azwar Anas as its first guest on Tuesday
\n(tonight) at 9.30 p.m.<\/p>\n
"I was quite surprised when Indosiar asked me to host the show
\nand gave me the freedom to choose the topics," said Wimar, who
\nalso heads the Indonesian Tennis Association.<\/p>\n
Topics may range from daily activities to serious issues on
\nsocial, culture, economic and politics, Wimar said.<\/p>\n
Wimar hosted a popular talk show Perspektif aired by SCTV
\nstation but the program was dropped.<\/p>\n
He then hosted another talk show on Radio M97 FM. The program
\nhas been suspended for unclear reasons.<\/p>\n
The other surprising moment for Wimar came when Ishadi S.K, a
\ndirector of educational station Televisi Pendidikan Indonesia
\n(TPI) asked him to host a serious discussion program.<\/p>\n
"The proposed program is still under serious negotiation and
\nhopefully it will be aired in the next few months," said Wimar.
