"summary": "The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) is sparking concerns about job displacement, yet it primarily automates repetitive tasks to boost efficiency rather than fully replacing human roles. While AI introduces challenges by shifting skill requirements and altering job types, it also creates new opportunities in technology fields like data analysis and AI development. Educational institutions such as Cyber University are adapting by strengthening curricula in AI and digital skills to prepare workers for this evolving landscape.",
"content": "<p>REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA \u2013 The rapid development of artificial\nintelligence (AI) has raised a major question in society: will AI\nreplace humans in the workplace? As the use of this technology increases\nacross various fields, concerns about job losses are increasingly\ndiscussed. However, is it true that AI will completely take over human\nroles? Or does this technology instead transform work methods to be more\nefficient and strategic? Amid these changes, it is important to examine\nmore deeply how AI actually works and the extent of its influence on\nhuman activities in the professional world. This understanding is key to\naddressing various concerns while identifying potential opportunities\nthat may not yet be realised. What Is AI and Its Role in the Workplace\nAI is a technology designed to mimic human intelligence capabilities,\nsuch as learning from data, recognising patterns, and making decisions\nautomatically. In recent years, AI development has accelerated and has\nbeen applied in various sectors, from business and healthcare to the\ncreative industry. In the workplace, AI is widely used to assist in\ncompleting repetitive tasks that require high speed. For example, the\nuse of chatbots in customer service, recommendation systems on digital\nplatforms, and the analysis of large amounts of data to support\ndecision-making. With these capabilities, AI can enhance work efficiency\nand reduce human error potential. Nevertheless, the presence of AI in\nthe workplace cannot be separated from the various changes it brings.\nThis technology is beginning to affect how humans work, interact with\nsystems, and make data-based decisions. These changes naturally give\nrise to various perspectives, both as opportunities and challenges,\nwhich continue to evolve alongside the utilisation of AI in various\nfields. The Impact of AI on Human Jobs AI development brings various\nimpacts to the workplace, both positive and challenges that need to be\naddressed. On one hand, AI can increase work efficiency and\nproductivity. Tasks that previously took a long time can now be\ncompleted faster with technological assistance, such as data processing,\nautomated customer service, and predictive systems in business. However,\non the other hand, the use of AI raises concerns regarding changes in\nthe types of jobs required. Some routine and repetitive jobs are\nstarting to shift because they can be performed automatically by\nsystems. This makes the need for skills in the workplace change,\nadapting to existing technological developments. Nevertheless, this\ndevelopment is also accompanied by the emergence of new opportunities in\nvarious fields. The need for workers with skills in technology, such as\ndata analysis, system development, and understanding of AI, is\nincreasing. This situation shows that the changes occurring not only\nreduce certain types of jobs but also open new possibilities that were\npreviously not widely known. Does AI Replace Humans? Fundamentally, AI\ndoes not completely replace human roles in the workplace. This\ntechnology can indeed take over certain routine and data-based tasks,\nbut human roles are still needed in more complex aspects. Abilities such\nas creativity, empathy, and value-based decision-making become strengths\nthat cannot be fully replaced by AI. Therefore, the relationship between\nhumans and AI is more towards collaboration to create more effective and\nefficient work methods. In line with the transformation of the workplace\nin the AI era, the Information Technology Study Programme at Cyber\nUniversity, also known as the Indonesian Cyber University, encourages\nstrengthening student competencies in AI, data science, software\ndevelopment, and information systems. Through a practice-based\ncurriculum and industry collaboration, Cyber University is committed to\nproducing adaptive, innovative graduates ready to face technological\ndevelopments. Overall, AI development brings significant changes to the\nworkplace, both in terms of efficiency, job types, and required skills.\nAlthough some jobs are shifting, the presence of AI also opens new\nopportunities that encourage humans to continue adapting. Therefore,\nunderstanding the role of AI and enhancing competencies is an important\nstep to remain relevant amid ongoing technological transformation. Cyber\nUniversity, known as The First Fintech University in Indonesia,\ncontinues to commit to producing superior digital talent ready to\ncompete in the technology era. Through an innovative learning approach\noriented towards industry needs, Cyber University becomes the right\nchoice for the young generation who want to develop in technology and\ndigital fields.<\/p>",
