        "content": "<p>Wild elephants caught and tamed<\/p>\n<p>BANDAR LAMPUNG, Lampung: A team of workers from the local<br>\nconservation and natural resources agency is still hunting wild<br>\nelephants to be tamed and trained.<\/p>\n<p>Agency chief Harjanto Wahju Sukotjo said yesterday the team<br>\nleft for the jungle a week ago but was yet to report on how many<br>\nelephants it had caught.<\/p>\n<p>The team was dispatched after more frequent reports of wild<br>\nelephants going on the rampage, destroying crops and encroaching<br>\non residential areas.<\/p>\n<p>The team comprised 18 people and four trained elephants to<br>\nhelp tame  captured wild elephants, Antara reported.<\/p>\n<p>The agency catches up to 40 wild elephants a year which are<br>\nsent to a training center in Way Kambas.<\/p>\n<p>The conversion of forests into plantations and human<br>\nsettlements is said to be the cause of wild animals running<br>\namuck.<\/p>\n<p>Recently three people were eaten by tigers in Lampung.
