Bandung \u2013 As part of its strategic efforts to gear up for the 2029\nGeneral Election, the Golkar Party\u2019s Central Executive Board held a\nTechnical Coordination Meeting on Election Victory at the Pullman Hotel\nin Bandung on 10 October 2026. The event was an important opportunity\nfor the party, whose symbol is a banyan tree, to close ranks in\nstrategic regions.<\/p>\n
The meeting focused on the theme \u201cGolkar Party Policy Direction and\nStrategic Plan for the 2029 Election\u201d and was led by Wihaji, Deputy\nChair for Election Victory in the Java-Kalimantan region.<\/p>\n
Wihaji\u2019s presence gave the meeting added impetus and strategic\nweight, as he also serves as Minister of Population and Family\nDevelopment in President Prabowo Subianto\u2019s Cabinet.<\/p>\n
The strategic gathering was not merely a forum for developing ideas,\nbut also brought together the party\u2019s forces. It was attended by 96\nparticipants: 25 representatives of Golkar\u2019s House of Representatives\nfaction, 21 regional heads, 49 representatives of provincial Golkar\nboards, and one head of the party\u2019s central National Witness Agency\n(BSNPG).<\/p>\n
The presence of legislative and regional executive figures, alongside\nparty organisations, underscored Golkar\u2019s determination to build\ncoordination across all levels.<\/p>\n
In his address, Wihaji set out firm instructions on the party\u2019s\nelection strategy, which he said all participants must put into action\npromptly.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have no time to relax. Golkar\u2019s victory in 2029 will not fall\nfrom the sky; it will be built through our sweat and hard work today.\nThat is why consolidation must be carried out at every level, on a large\nscale and continuously,\u201d Wihaji said.<\/p>\n
He added that the work of party structures and figures in both the\nlegislative and executive branches must reach the heart of communities\nat the grassroots, in line with a vision of building strength from\nfamilies and local communities. He instructed all party ranks to get out\ninto the field and ensure that a solid campaign network is\nestablished.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want all cadres to engage directly with people at the grassroots.\nConsolidation must not stop at regency or district level; it must extend\nto villages and urban wards, neighbourhood associations (RW) and\nneighbourhood units (RT). This network is our front line in winning\npeople\u2019s support,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
To ensure the instructions are implemented effectively and measured,\nGolkar\u2019s Central Executive Board set a tight deadline for all levels of\nthe organisation. Wihaji said consolidation and restructuring of\ngrassroots networks across Java and Kalimantan must be fully completed\nby the end of 2026.<\/p>\n
