Widow rocks court with raunchy testimony<\/p>\n
Instead of a sorrowful testimony from one of the grieving widows
\nof the late Supreme Court justice M. Syafiuddin Kartasasmita,
\ncourt observers were treated on Wednesday to an almost lewd
\nglimpse of Iwah Setyawati and her slain husband's intimate life.<\/p>\n
Iwah, 48, who appeared at the Central Jakarta District Court
\nto testify on the alleged claim that Hutomo \"Tommy\" Mandala Putra
\ntried to bribe her late husband, showed little inhibition in also
\nflaunting her physical \"prowess\".<\/p>\n
\"Mr. Judge, Iwah stands for indah (beautiful), wangi
\n(fragrant), asyik (sensuous), and hangat (warm),\" the second wife
\nof Syafiuddin coquettishly introduced herself in front of the
\ncourt.<\/p>\n
The packed court room burst into laughter. Even the judges
\ncould not hide their smiles.<\/p>\n
Caught off guard, presiding judge Amiruddin Zakaria even asked
\nIwah to repeat her statement, which she happily did.<\/p>\n
Iwah was also more than willing to reveal more than most would
\nwant to know when she replied to Tommy's lawyer O.C. Kaligis'
\nquestion about the state of the couple's marriage.<\/p>\n
\"Conflicts in a marriage are common. He once left me for two
\nweeks, but then he came back to me because of the way I
\n'serviced' him 'internally' and 'externally',\" said the woman who
\nbecame Syafiuddin's second wife in 1999.<\/p>\n
\"I always called him yang (slang for sayang, meaning dear),\"
\nshe added.<\/p>\n
Judge Amiruddin, however, found it too much and ordered
\nKaligis to stop asking questions about her private life. -- JP<\/p>",
