        "content": "<p>JAKARTA \u2014 General Agus Subiyanto, Commander of the Indonesian Armed\nForces (TNI), has issued a Level 1 alert order across all ranks of the\nTNI as a precautionary measure against developments in the global\nsituation, particularly the escalation of conflict in the Middle East\nregion.<\/p>\n<p>The order is detailed in TNI Commander Telegram No.\u00a0TR\/283\/2026,\nsigned by Lieutenant General Bobby Rinal Makmun, Deputy for Operations\nto the TNI Commander, on 1 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The telegram states that all TNI units must increase operational\nreadiness in line with growing international conflict dynamics and their\npotential impact on domestic security.<\/p>\n<p>The Level 1 alert status became effective on 1 March 2026 until\nfurther notice.<\/p>\n<p>First, the Commander of the Main Operations Command (Pangkotamaops)\nis directed to put personnel and major weapons systems on standby and\nconduct patrols of various strategic vital installations and economic\ncentres. These patrols will cover airports, seaports and river ports,\nrailway stations, bus terminals, and important facilities such as the\nstate electricity company offices.<\/p>\n<p>Third, the TNI Strategic Intelligence Agency (Bais) is directed to\ninstruct defence attach\u00e9s of the Republic of Indonesia in countries\naffected by the conflict to collect data and map the situation of\nIndonesian citizens (WNI).<\/p>\n<p>The data collection also includes the preparation of evacuation plans\nshould they be required at any time. This action must be coordinated\nwith the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Indonesian diplomatic\nrepresentations in the relevant countries.<\/p>\n<p>Fifth, TNI intelligence units are ordered to conduct early detection\nand prevention against potential security disruptions at vital\ninstallations and diplomatic zones.<\/p>\n<p>Sixth, all central executive bodies (Balakpus) of the TNI are\ndirected to implement alert readiness in their respective units.<\/p>\n<p>Seventh, all developments in the situation must be immediately\nreported to the TNI Commander.<\/p>",
