        "content": "<p>The West Java Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) recorded that the\nvolume of Whoosh high-speed train passengers grew rapidly by 8.02 per\ncent month-on-month in July 2026, alongside a significant surge in West\nJava\u2019s air cargo.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of West Java BPS, Margaretha Ari Anggorowati, explained that\nduring this period, Whoosh served 288,000 people, followed by a\nsignificant spike in international air cargo of 91.77 per cent, which\nreached 16.02 tonnes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe surge in international freight in July 2026 was strongly driven\nby the opening of new reference flights directly to Kuala Lumpur,\nMalaysia,\u201d Ari stated in Bandung on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Ari also noted that the resurgence in public mobility was evenly\ndistributed across all modes of public transport in West Java throughout\nJuly 2026.<\/p>\n<p>In domestic air transport, the number of passengers served reached\n1,021, representing an increase of 5.84 per cent compared to June\n2026.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, for conventional railway transport within the operational\nareas of Daop 2 Bandung and Daop 3 Cirebon, the total passenger volume\nreached 2.46 million people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis experienced a monthly increase of 1.01 per cent,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Ari added that the growth in passenger and freight transport\nindicates increasingly solid transport infrastructure connectivity in\nWest Java, supporting efficient goods distribution and the mobility of\nthe Bodebek megapolitan area.<\/p>",
