A total of 25 private Electronic System Providers (PSE) have been\nformally notified by the Ministry of Communication and Digital\n(Komdigi). The reason for this action is that these platforms have yet\nto fulfil their registration obligations as stipulated in the Minister\nof Communication and Informatics Regulation Number 5 of 2020 regarding\nPrivate Scope Electronic System Providers (PM Kominfo 5\/2020).<\/p>\n
Under Articles 2 and 4 of the regulation, both domestic and foreign\nprivate PSEs are required to register their electronic systems.<\/p>\n
\u201cRegistration for private-scope PSEs is an obligation that must be\nmet by every provider meeting the criteria according to applicable\nprovisions. Through this notification, we are requesting PSEs to\nimmediately complete their obligations and ensure that the services\nprovided in Indonesia comply with statutory regulations,\u201d stated Teguh\nArifiyando, Director of Certification Supervision and Electronic\nTransactions at the Directorate General of Digital Space Supervision,\nKomdigi, in a statement released on Friday (18\/09\/2026).<\/p>\n
The notification letters were dispatched on 16 September 2026. All\nPSEs have been instructed to complete their registration no later than\n22 September 2026.<\/p>\n
Of the 25 notified PSEs, 23 are domestic entities and two are\nforeign-based, spanning various sectors including transport, shipping,\nand other service providers. Notable names among those notified include\nthe Whoosh high-speed rail platform, Cititrans, and Transjakarta.<\/p>\n
Providers that have received the notification are required to undergo\nthe registration process. Failure to do so will lead to follow-up\nsanctions, such as the blocking of services.<\/p>\n
