The Founder and CEO of Whitesky Group, Denon Prawiraatmadja, has\ncommenced a series of tours across Asia to bolster the realisation of\nIndonesia\u2019s Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) development roadmap, with an\ninvestment and development scale projected at no less than Rp21 trillion\nover ten years.<\/p>\n
On Monday (21\/9), Denon visited the AutoFlight facility in Kunshan,\nChina, to observe technological advancements, flight demonstrations, and\nsimulators, as well as to continue strategic discussions with the\ncompany\u2019s leadership.<\/p>\n
\u201cChina is one of the key points in this series,\u201d he stated in a\nwritten statement in Jakarta on Monday.<\/p>\n
This visit is part of a broader agenda following the presentation of\nIndonesia\u2019s eVTOL ecosystem vision in Hong Kong. Over the next year,\nsimilar activities will continue to expand through partners in China,\nHong Kong, Japan, and South Korea.<\/p>\n
However, he noted that the journey is not merely aimed at increasing\nthe number of aircraft entering Indonesia.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want every international collaboration to produce real economic\nvalue for Indonesia. Not just aircraft, but investment, technology,\nindustrial capability, and new employment opportunities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Whitesky aims to develop up to 200 eVTOL aircraft within a decade, a\nscale that the company believes will require an ecosystem far larger\nthan mere aircraft procurement.<\/p>\n
Investment will relate to operational needs, infrastructure,\nmaintenance, charging, technology, training, and human capital\ndevelopment.<\/p>\n
Consequently, he intends for this Asian tour to serve as a platform\nto connect his company not only with Original Equipment Manufacturers\n(OEMs) but also with financial institutions, technology providers,\ninfrastructure partners, and battery and energy companies.<\/p>\n
For Denon, the Rp21 trillion figure must not remain merely as an\nasset value.<\/p>\n
The scale of development must be capable of driving new economic\nactivity within the aviation sector and opening up supporting business\nchains that have not previously developed in Indonesia.<\/p>\n
The group projects that the development of a 200 eVTOL ecosystem\ncould create and support no fewer than 1,000 new jobs. Requirements will\nexpand to include pilots, engineers, and technicians, as well as\nmaintenance, vertiport operations, charging infrastructure, safety,\ntraining, and digital aviation.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf an investment of this magnitude only results in an increase in\nfleet size, then we have not maximised the opportunity.
