Management at Kawah Putih stated that the water level in the\nlake has receded up to 70 metres from the edge since the beginning of\nAugust 2026 as a result of a prolonged drought.<\/p>\n<p>Visitors can be seen at the Kawah Putih tourist site, where the water\nlevels are shrinking in Ciwidey, Bandung Regency, West Java. The Kawah\nPutih management confirmed that the lake\u2019s surface has retreated 70\nmetres from the banks since early August 2026 due to the ongoing dry\nseason.<\/p>",
