        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The continuation of the trial for the alleged\ncorruption case in the procurement of Chromebook laptops has been\npostponed again because former Minister of Education, Culture, Research,\nand Technology Nadiem Makarim is ill.<\/p>\n<p>Nadiem was scheduled to attend the trial on 22 and 23 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>However, on Wednesday (22\/4\/2026), Nadiem could not appear in the\ncourtroom, so the panel of judges decided to postpone the examination of\nwitnesses and experts for the defence.<\/p>\n<p>The trial has been rescheduled for Monday (27\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo we have made the time a bit longer for the defendant\u2019s\nopportunity, perhaps to recover his health. We postpone it to Monday,\u201d\nsaid the Chief Judge of the Panel, Purwanto S Abdullah, during the trial\nat the Jakarta Corruption Court on Wednesday (22\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Because he felt unable to attend the trial, Nadiem was not brought up\none floor from where he is detained.<\/p>\n<p>Based on Kompas.com records, this is the fourth postponement.<\/p>\n<p>The first postponement occurred on 16 December 2025. At that time,\nNadiem was supposed to hear the reading of the indictment.<\/p>\n<p>But the trial was postponed because Nadiem was still undergoing\npost-operative treatment.<\/p>\n<p>The panel of judges accommodated the situation and rescheduled the\nreading to 5 January 2026.<\/p>\n<p>After the indictment, Nadiem continued to attend the proof sessions\nfor witnesses presented by the public prosecutor.<\/p>\n<p>During the trial, Nadiem had already stated that his health condition\noften fluctuated.
