        "content": "<p>President Prabowo Subianto and United States Federal Bureau of\nInvestigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel discussed efforts to return\nIndonesian cultural artefacts that were illegally smuggled abroad.\nIndonesian Minister of Culture Fadli Zon said the two figures discussed\nthe matter during a meeting at Prabowo\u2019s private residence in\nKertanegara, Jakarta, on Wednesday (22\/7). \u201cAnd also officially, he\nbrought cultural artefacts resulting from cooperation between the\nIndonesian government, through the Ministry of Culture, and the FBI,\nnamely the return of cultural objects and artefacts that were illegally\nsmuggled to the United States. After conducting provenance research, the\nobjects were then returned and brought directly by Mr Kash Patel to\nPresident Prabowo Subianto,\u201d Fadli Zon stated in a press release on\nThursday (23\/7). Fadli Zon explained that the returned artefacts\noriginate from Papua, specifically the cultural heritage of the Dani,\nAsmat, and Danau tribes in the Sentani Lake region. He noted that these\nobjects hold significant historical and cultural value for Indonesia. \u201cI\nthink these are very valuable objects because this repatriation process\nis part of our effort to restore our cultural sovereignty,\u201d he said.\nFadli Zon also conveyed that cooperation between Indonesia and the FBI\non the return of cultural objects has been ongoing. The FBI has\npreviously assisted in returning various important Indonesian artefacts\nthat were stolen, including bronze statues and artefacts from several\ncultural sites. He stated that the return of these cultural artefacts is\npart of the government\u2019s commitment to restoring national cultural\nsovereignty while enriching public knowledge of the nation\u2019s historical\nheritage.
