        "content": "<p>President Prabowo Subianto has issued Presidential Instruction\n(Inpres) Number 2 of 2026 on Accelerating Food Self-Sufficiency in the\nAgricultural Sector to Realise National Resilience and National\nIndependence. This regulation serves as a guideline for ministries and\nagencies to strengthen domestic production and improve food\ndistribution.<\/p>\n<p>In the policy, the President provides instructions to four leaders of\nministries\/agencies, namely the Minister of Agriculture, the Minister of\nFinance, the Head of the State-Owned Enterprises Management Agency, and\nthe Head of the BPI Danantara Executive Agency.<\/p>\n<p>Although they have different tasks, these four ministries and\nagencies share the same objective. They must accelerate the availability\nof food from domestic production, improve distribution, and promote\nsustainable consumption patterns and farming systems.<\/p>\n<p>They are also required to address various obstacles in the food\nsupply chain, from production to distribution. Progress on each\nprogramme must be reported to the President periodically.<\/p>\n<p>To support the implementation of this policy, the government has\ndesignated funding sources from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget\n(APBN) as well as other lawful sources in accordance with applicable\nlaws and regulations.<\/p>\n<p>In the Inpres, the President assigns the Minister of Agriculture to\ndelegate tasks to several state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in the\nagricultural, agroindustry, and food logistics sectors. The companies\nincluded in this delegation are PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, PT Agrinas\nPalma Nusantara, PT Perkebunan Nusantara III, PT Rajawali Nusantara\nIndonesia, PT Pupuk Indonesia, and Perum Bulog.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the Minister of Agriculture is responsible for\npreparing recommendations for key performance indicators for the\nassigned SOEs. The Minister also provides considerations in the\nappointment and dismissal of directors and supervisory boards in those\ncompanies.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Minister of Finance is tasked with providing financial\nand technical budgeting support to ensure the programme runs smoothly.\nThis support includes providing the necessary budget for accelerating\nfood self-sufficiency.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of the State-Owned Enterprises Management Agency plays a\nrole in supporting the implementation of tasks assigned to SOEs. This\nagency also considers recommendations from the Minister of Agriculture\nregarding performance indicators and follows up on proposals for the\nappointment and dismissal of directors and commissioners.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Head of BPI Danantara is responsible for providing\ntechnical support in the operational management of the involved SOEs.\nThis role includes strengthening operational aspects to ensure the food\nself-sufficiency programme runs effectively.<\/p>",
