The\nimplementation of WFA is designed to anticipate the surge in migrant\nworkers returning home during the peak period of the Eid exodus.<\/p>\n<p>Based on reporting dated Monday, 16 March 2026, the policy is\ngrounded in Circular Letter from the Minister of State Apparatus and\nBureaucratic Reform No.\u00a02\/2026 concerning the adjustment of work duties\nfor civil service employees at government institutions during national\nholidays and joint leave for the Nyepi Holy Day and Eid al-Fitri 1447\nHijri.<\/p>\n<p>The 2026 Eid WFA for civil servants runs for five days:<\/p>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li><p>Two days before the national holiday and joint leave for the\nNyepi Holy Day (Saka New Year 1948):<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Monday, 16 March 2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Tuesday, 17 March 2026<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Three days after the national holiday and joint leave for Eid\nal-Fitri 1447 Hijri:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Wednesday, 25 March 2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Thursday, 26 March 2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Friday, 27 March 2026<\/p><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>For the private sector, the 2026 Eid WFA also runs for five days,\nbased on Circular Letter from the Minister of Manpower\nNo.\u00a0M\/2\/HK.04\/II\/2026 concerning the implementation of\nwork-from-alternative-location (Work From Anywhere) for workers and\nemployees at companies during the Nyepi Holy Day and Eid al-Fitri 2026\nholidays.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWFA implementation shall be carried out on 16 to 17 March 2026 and\nis expected to also be implemented on 25, 26, and 27 March 2026, taking\ninto account the needs of companies and considering the potential surge\nin the return mobility of migrants following the celebration of Eid\nal-Fitri,\u201d according to the first point in the circular.<\/p>\n<p>The Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional\nDevelopment, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), previously disclosed that\nthere will be 143.9 million journeys by the public during this year\u2019s\nEid exodus.<\/p>\n<p>To address the anticipated surge in mobility, the government has\nprepared several measures to ease traffic congestion. One such measure\nis promoting the WFA policy, which is expected to reduce the\nconcentration of public movement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat is why in the middle of this we ease congestion by implementing\nwork from anywhere.
