The West Sumatra High\nProsecutor\u2019s Office has officially named a project supervisor with the\ninitials IF as a new suspect in the case, which has caused billions of\nrupiah in state losses.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the West Sumatra High Prosecutor\u2019s Office, Dedie Tri Wahyudi,\nstated that IF was named a suspect after investigators uncovered an\nalleged manipulation of the supervision system. This action is suspected\nto be the main factor that caused the bridge\u2019s construction quality to\nfail to meet standards, leading to its collapse shortly after\ncompletion.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the investigation, IF allegedly took illegal control of the\nproject\u2019s supervision work. He replaced the supervisory consultant\u2019s\npersonnel before the contract commenced without going through the proper\naddendum mechanism.
